Gender Roles

Activity

Gender roles means that men and women have different duties at work and around the house such as men take care of the back yard while women wash the clothes.

Equal rights means that women have the same rights as men such as they should be able to do the same job and get paid the same amount.

Do you believe if a man and a woman are both working in a factory but the men have to lift heavier objects they should be paid equally?

One reason is that even though the men are lifting heavier objects the women still do hard work.

If you believe that they should be paid equally what other reasons why you think this?

Do you believe because the men are required to lift heavier objects they should be paid more?

One reason is that the heavier object can cause damage to the body so they should be paid more for that.
